Wedding Ministries

The Clergy of Good Shepherd Companions provide wedding services to couples in their area. Some of our clergy work with a couple to provide any type of ceremony desired, while others provide a specifically religious type of ceremony. In any case you will find our clergy warm, welcoming, and willing to work with you to plan your wedding ceremony, or to be of service by helping you to connect with someone better able to provide the type of ceremony you are seeking. We welcome and look forward to speaking with all couples, regardless of religious affiliation or gender orientation. Here are some areas where we provide service.

Long Island and the Tri-State Area: Most Rev. Peter Paul Brennan ministers as a wedding officiant in this area. He can be contacted at FatherBrennan@aol.com or by phone at 516-485-0616.

Jubilee House Church

Jubilee House Church located in "almost heave" Charles Town, WV, is a community of men and women striving to achieve genuine reform among Christian believers. Tracing a philosophy of ecumenism back to Saint Barnabas and the first Council of Jerusalem about 47- 50, this seminal event propelled Christians forward to accept people of all races, language, and cultural backgrounds.

House Churches were the building blocks of early Christianity.  Gatherings in homes of newly converted Jews and Gentiles served as a place of prayer, conversation, outreach and a eucharistic meal.   Leaders of House Churches were both male and female, often husbands and wives.  Some of these leaders named in the Christian Testament included: Husbands and wives, Junia and Andronicus, Priscilla and Aquila; women leaders like Phoebe and Lydia; and Gaius, Philemon, Nympha.

Good Shepherd Companions encourages the re-establishment of House Churches.   Within small communities, members are able to forge a wholesome gospel-centered presence in their neighborhoods.  The prayer gatherings serve as days of retreat and  renewal for their members.   Just like in early House Churches, members pray, reflect, discuss, and share a Eucharistic meal.  Just like in early House Churches, everyone is welcome.

Guatemala and El Salvador Children's Mission Fund

Guatemala Missions reflects God’s unconditional love, which surrenders all, inspires trust and faith, and embraces all people regardless of race, status or creed. We believe that Christ is alive, and that we can best serve Him by being of assistance to those in the greatest need (Matthew 25:31-40).

Guatemala Missions Vision is that we embraces an intensely personal and biblical response to God’s call to end physical and spiritual hungers. This intentional walk with the poor mirrors God’s walk with each of us, recognizing our own brokenness and His transforming grace that brings out our God-given potential.

Guatemala Missions was created for the purpose of serving the poor and marginalized people of El Salvador and Guatemala and other impoverished areas. Projects are designed to enable Guatemala Missions to provide housing, hunger, health, sanitation and educational assistance to those most in need.

Guatemala Missions Serves in a Catholic tradition, but welcomes people of all religions to serve as missionaries. Guatemala Missions also welcomes people of different skill sets, abilities, and ages, so that those interested in participating in a mission trip in Guatemala and  El Salvador can do so. Guatemala Missions does not intend to limit its activities to Guatemala and  El Salvador. Guatemala Missions intends to meet housing, health, sanitation, and educational issues wherever there may be a need.
